The Maestra Mentorship provided me an invaluable opportunity to study under the amazing Jillian Zack allowing me to hone in on accompanying, playing in the pit of a musical, and music direction.

As the Assistant Music Director, I worked closely with MD, Jay Schwandt. I accompanied several rehearsals, worked individually with actors, and played Keyboard 2 in the pit for the nine-show run.

Among professionals and graduate students, I was the only undergraduate asked to accompany one of the six musical theatre masterclasses where I had a fifteen minute time slot each week with fourteen different students each working on seven different songs to play at a two hour masterclass weekly.

Ball State State University Capstone
Spring 2022
As music director, I created rehearsal schedules, taught the entire score to the cast, worked on vocal techniques to ensure they were all singing safely and accompanied the entire show through rehearsals and performances.
A Chorus Line
Theatre on the Hill
As music director of A Chorus Line, I worked with a wide variety of talent between the ages of 20-66 year olds. Teaching them the rigorous score of the show definitely proved a challenge, but the vocals came out amazing and we were even able to perform the end of the song What I Did For Love acapella.

Ball State mixed a capella group
Spring 2021-2023
I arranged and picked out music for our group to sing for showcases and for the ICCA competitions. I taught music that split up to at most, eight parts to a group of 18 college students who were all my peers. I also choreographed our set for competitions.

Musical Group Scholarship Winners 2022
The last two years I have arranged the music for the duets and trios my friends and I have performed in the Talent Search Competition at Ball State. In 2021, we performed an Adele Medley consisting of a mashup between Hello and Someone Like You and ended with Rolling in the Deep. In 2022, we won the musical group scholarship with an arrangement I wrote called The Sunshine Medley which consisted of four songs all about the sun!
