Entrepreurial ventures
My passion for entrepreneurship began in the fall of 2020 when I added my minor and began my first class! My wonderful professor, Krystal Geyer announced a pitch competition happening later that semester and I decided to try something new and enter it.

Big idea pitch
I entered the Big Idea Pitch at the Innovation Connector in Muncie, IN with "Magnetic Nails". Fake acrylic nails that stick to a magnetic polish that is applied to your real nails and that could be taken off or changed at your leisure or convenience! I competed against 35 other candidates including other business students from Ball State and other adults from around the area and ended up winning 3rd place which included a $1,500 grant, a baseball bat, and free admission into an advanced class to help kickstart my business.
pre-seed fund
In the spring of 2021, I won a grant from Ball State called the Pre-Seed Fund, meant to help students fund their entrepreneurial ventures. With this money I was able to continue working on my "magnetic nails" prototype (pictured on the right).
